Metal Mojado / Llorando por tu amor

2022

(Metal mojado. Llorando por tu amor, 2021) resin on metal mounted on a wooden stretcher. A naïve-style series where emptiness (as is often the case
in my work) is a fundamental axis around which the piece revolves. This emptiness is mainly represented by the lack of a purpose or a predetermined path for the piece regarding its theme. The pieces themselves suggest a cloud of concepts that interrelate with each other, but they generate a blurred abstraction that avoids embedding a coherent and structured narrative. Therefore, they exist as an empty shell that is filled by the viewer's gaze and are defined by their bareness, their need for an environment to reflect upon in order to make sense.
